Emergency Management
The Davis Emergency Management Department maintains response plans for the events occurring prior to, during, and after a disaster or significant emergency. It also provides coordination of area weather alerting and spotting services. This department works closely with the National Weather Service, the Department of Homeland Security, and FEMA.
Sign Up For Emergency Alerts
To sign up for Davis specific Genasys alerts for severe weather and other events provided by the City of Davis and the Murray County Emergency Management, visit Register | Emergency Notification System. When completing your registration, be sure to choose whether you prefer text, email, or phone alerts and choose the weather notifications you would like to receive. Otherwise, your account will be set to the default which includes all alert types and all weather alerts.
Storm Shelter Registration
Registering your storm shelter with local emergency management is a crucial step in keeping your household safe during severe weather.
