The Davis Fire Department is a multipurpose and highly trained team dedicated to the safety and well-being of the community. The city’s fire insurance classification is 3/3Y, which reflects the department’s high level of readiness and capability to handle fire emergencies making the City of Davis’ lower classification an important factor in reducing insurance costs for homeowners and businesses. 

The Fire Department located on 3rd Street serves as the central hub for all operations. Our firefighters are highly trained and participate in multiple training exercises throughout the year, ensuring they are always prepared to respond quickly and efficiently to any emergency. These ongoing training sessions help our team stay current on the latest firefighting techniques, rescue operations, and safety protocols.
