Public Works
The City of Davis Public Works Authority is responsible for maintaining the essential services and infrastructure that keep our community running smoothly. Public Works oversees the operation and maintenance of the City’s water and sewer lines and distribution, ensuring safe and reliable service for residents and businesses. The department also maintains city streets, parks, and Green Hill Cemetery, and the City of Davis Convenience Site working year-round to provide clean, safe, and well-kept public spaces. Through daily operations and ongoing improvements, the Public Works team plays a vital role in protecting public health, supporting quality of life, and preserving the city’s infrastructure for future generations.
To report issues or emergencies during regular business hours, please contact City Hall at 580-369-3333. To report an after-hours emergency related to water or sewer services, please call dispatch at 580-369-2323. Dispatch will contact an on-call city employee for assistance.
Waste Management
The City of Davis contracts with Southern Oklahoma Regional Disposal (SORD) to provide community-wide residential and commercial garbage collection. The city manages trash accounts only for customers located within city limits or for those who are existing City water and/or sewer customers. Through this partnership, the City of Davis continues to ensure dependable service and a clean, well-maintained community. Residents or businesses outside city limits and not connected to City of Davis water or sewer services must contact SORD directly at (800-680-7673) to establish a trash account and arrange cart delivery.
Convenience Site Information
The City of Davis and Davis Municipal Authority offer a Convenience Site for the use of our residential account holders with existing garbage service. The site is open Wednesday 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Thursday through Saturday 9:00 Am - 5:00 PM. The site is located on Whiteoak Street next to the City Shop.
The City of Davis Convenience Site does not accept shingles, paint, tires, or freon-charged items. The Site is for items that will not fit in polycarts, such as large boxes, limbs, or large amounts of bagged trash.
