Chili for a Cause: Davis Comes Together to Support Its Volunteer Firefighters

The Davis community came together on Friday, October 23, to support the Davis Volunteer Fire Association during its annual Chili Fundraiser. Held at the Davis Fire Station, the event brought neighbors and supporters together for a meal while raising funds to help equip local firefighters.

Supporting Those Who Serve

Proceeds from the fundraiser will help the Davis Volunteer Fire Association purchase a side-by-side utility vehicle. This vehicle will help firefighters reach areas where larger emergency vehicles may have difficulty accessing, improving their ability to respond to emergencies throughout the community.

More Than a Bowl of Chili

The fundraiser brought together local supporters and the Sulphur Fire Department, along with State Representative Ryan Eaves stopping by to show his support. Every bowl served helped move the Davis Volunteer Fire Association closer to its goal of purchasing this valuable equipment.

Looking Ahead: Davis Fireman’s Association Raffle

The Davis Fireman’s Association will hold a $20 raffle drawing for an Oklahoma lifetime combination hunting and fishing license on November 28 during the A Very Davis Christmas Parade. It’s another opportunity to support local firefighters while celebrating the holiday season in Davis. Contact your favorite Davis Fire Fighter to learn more.
